As you know, the Supreme Court recently adopted the Succession Planning Rule to encourage lawyers to prepare written succession plans. The Bar will collect the names of successor attorneys as part of the license fee process. You can also use this form to submit the name of your successor in advance. For additional info on succession planning, including sample forms, go to the PMAP Winding Down page. Also, join us next Friday at the 2013 Solo & Small Firm Conference where our speakers for the session titled Solo Survival Guide: Preparing for Life’s Surprises will give you the tools you need to prepare a succession plan for your firm.
